What is it about?
In this article we discuss the conceptualisation of some threshold concepts (TCs) in health professions practice as located in a continuous state of liminality and propose that adaptive expertise is an example of one of these recursive TCs. We also discuss how developing capability to deal with new and unforeseen situations could help prepare learners to navigate this ongoing liminal space.
