What is it about?

The availability of energy in the diet can modify the innate immune response. The aim of the experiment was to verify the consequences of different physiological conditions, that simulate different availability of nutrients (i.e. high plasma insulin and low glucose vs a contemporaneously high plasmic concentration of insulin and glucose) on the inflammatory response. In addition, we have observed the two different physiological state at the beginning of a mammary infection, to monitor the precocious systemic responses at the blood level.
