What is it about?
The paper handels the possible pitfalls in scanning a part of the body (in example of an ear) and reproducing it 1:1 with different rapid prototyping technologies (additive manufacturing, short: AM). The size/ dimensions (in terms of several length between marked spots) were measured at the scaned human, within the software showing the 3D-picture and at the 3D-models derived from the AM machines.
