We investigated nest site characteristics and their influence on Gray Flycatcher reproduction in ponderosa pine forests managed for timber extraction.

Why is it important?
Most studies of this species have been conducted with shrub dominated habitats. In addition, this is the northern extent of the Gray Flycatchers range and their nesting ecology had not been investigated in ponderosa pine forests of Washington, USA.
