What is it about?

Analysis of p75NTR deficient mice on the morphological, electrophysiological and behavioral level by focusing on the amygdala

Featured Image

Why is it important?

P75NTr plays important functions in the brain. Deltion of p75NTR e.g not only increases the cholinergic innervation pattern in the hippocampus and cortex, but also in the amgydala. Lack of P75NTR has profound effects on neuronal plasticity

Perspectives

Manipulation of P75NTR in the brain may have beneficial effects on neuronal plasticity, learning and memory.
