What is it about?
Communicating research findings and choosing where to publish is an important part of the research process. Journal of Advanced Nursing (JAN) has become an international medium for publication of nurse research findings. We carried out a review of JAN issues from July 2015 - June 2016. The findings demonstrate that JAN is now publishing from countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and America.

The findings from this review should provide authors with an overview of the countries that publish in this journal. The findings also show the increasing collaboration between countries publishing articles.
Perspectives
This information is useful since research shows that papers that include co-authors from other countries have the potential to strengthen the quality of the paper.
