Long-Term Renal Allograft Function on a Tacrolimus-Based, Pred-Free Maintenance Immunosuppression Comparing Sirolimus vs. MMF+.
In renal transplant patients randomized to tacrolimus and mycophenolate versus tacrolimus and sirolimus, kidney loss in the tacrolimus/sirolimus group was significantly greater and GFR was worse, indicating a survival and function disadvantage in the tacrolimus/sirolimus treatment compared to tacrolimus/mycophenolate.
