In this article I argue that we should take offence seriously, and that the Skokie decision was wrong because it failed to appreciate the extent of offence suffered by Holocaust survivors if they were to encounter Nazis

Why is it important?

Offence is a neglected issue in the free speech literature, and easily dismissed by the courts. More attention should be given to it.
