Why is it important?
This was a nice kinetic study of an NAD+ dependent GluDH from a glutamate-fermenting anaerobe. It includes an unusually thorough pH study in which the full kinetic parameters were determined over a set of pH values allowing conclusions about the constancy of the Kd for coenzyme over that range. Sadly it subsequently emerged that this GluDH was not from the organism in the title but probably from an unidentifiable contaminant that took over the cultures!
