What is it about?
Severe mental disorders, including schizophrenia and other forms of psychosis, are aim of stigma and lack of investiment. Latin America suffers with many open veins that constitute as risk factor for psychosis - like poverty, inequalitty and high levels of substance abuse. Eventhought, there are scarce health services providing care and infomation to individuals dealing with psychosis.

Why is it important?
Our effort was to describe how a public academic hospital in countryside Brazil implemented an Early Intervention Programme and the challenges on this trail. Besides service implementation description, we provide a retrospective cohort with socio-demographic and clinical data of 237 individuals treated by us.
