What is it about?
It was previously believed that long wear of soft contact lens can worsen dry eye. However, there is actually no significant decrease in tear function of contact lens users. This goes to show that wearing contact lens may not necessarily lead to dry eyes, in fact, they might even reduce dry eye symptoms.

Why is it important?
Soft contact lens wear is growing exponentially popular. It is often used for cosmetic or athletic purpose, and are generally less cumbersome than wearing glasses. In light of its increasing demand, it is important to know how daily wear of contact lens can affect our eyes.
