What is it about?
SOX2 is overexpressed in ovarian cancer spheroid cells, which can maintain the cancer stem cell properties of spheroids, such as sphere formation capacity, cell proliferation, cell migration, cisplatin resistance, tumorigenicity and so on. In addition, SOX2 expression was closely associated with chemo-resistance and poor prognosis in ovarian cancer patients.
