What is it about?

Chronic visceral pain is a highly prevalent global clinical problem, but is difficult to treat. Here we show that cyclic versions of alpha-conotoxin Vc1.1 inhibit colonic nociception and provide analgesia with greater effect during states of chronic visceral pain.
