What is it about?

We show for the first time that antibiotic therapy, eliminating mostly of gut microflora during adolescence, affects both structure and function of the little brain in the intestinal tract, leading to constipation, altered motility and abdomen discomfort. These findings highlight the key role of gut bugs in ensuring an healthy mind in the intestines.
