What is it about?
the present study provides initial evidence on the extrapancreatic roles of GLP-1 in ruminants, particularly on the lipid metabolism in liver and adipose tissues. This is the first study that we are aware of in ruminants where GLP-1 exerts physiological roles which are not only insulin-independent but probably almost antagonistic to insulin effects.
