What is it about?
Quantitative and qualitative data monitor the implementation of annual screening and brief intervention requirements for Oregon Medicaid recipients. Rates of screening increased overtime with little change in diagnosis of alcohol or drug use disorders. Oregon created financial incentives to encourage Medicaid health plans to implement annual screening for adults and adolescents seen in primary and emergency care.
