What is it about?
Mesophyll conductance is a poorly known factor affecting photosynthesis. We tested hypotheses about mesophyll conductance drivers with a carbon isotope model of photosynthesis and transport. We were able to predict a post-drought release measured in phloem sugar isotopic composition as well as determine weather conditions that best serve for distinguishing the driving factors of mesophyll conductance.
