What is it about?

We aimed to assess the health‐related quality of life (HRQoL) and identify its predictors among type 2 diabetes patients of Bangladesh.

Why is it important?

As per our knowledge, no nationwide study was carried out among Bangladesh’s type 2 diabetes patients using the EQ‐5D‐5L version to measure the HRQoL. Hence, for the first time, we were prompted to evaluate the HRQoL using the EQ‐5D‐5L instrument in a large sample of the type 2 diabetes population. In addition to this, we sought to determine the predictors that influenced the HRQoL of Bangladeshi type 2 diabetes populations.

Perspectives

Writing this article was a great pleasure as it encourages other research groups of Bangladesh to replicate this.
