Social medial has become a mainstay that practitioners have been using to help educate and promote their practice. However, this outlet may be wrongfully used in the dissemination of non evidence based information that may affect the care of our patients. Dermatologists should be aware of this and help make sure that sound information is showcased as well as help in promoting a better understanding of treatments that have been proven to work.
