What is it about?
The book is a compilation of chapters from 19 contributors, most associated in some way with Malaysia's International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF). The book's 21 chapters are grouped into five parts: definitions and concepts, governance systems used in Islamic financial institutions (IFIs) and markets, wealth‐creating institutions & markets, preserving and protecting wealth, and wealth distribution.

Why is it important?
It is an interesting compendium of some of the key aspects of the Islamic perspective towards wealth, with an interesting digression on sovereign wealth funds and foreign exchange reserves. It is not a personal investment guidebook.
