What is it about?
In previous studies,6PPD was screened in air, soil, urban runof. Here we extend the research of 6PPD migration and 6PPD levels for the first time in milk and food simulants. The results showed safety of rubber hoses in milk production. Meanwhile, transformation products of 6PPD were observed during the migration process.

Why is it important?
This study analysed the final levels and changing trends of 6PPD in simulants and milk from rubber hoses. Furthermore, migration behaviour and the degradation mechanism were explored via the HPLC-DAD and together they determined 6PPD levels. this study confirms milk safety and quality from the perspective of 6PPD migration and degradation in milk lines.
