Why is it important?

Structuring the cybersecurity testing of vehicles saves resources for manufacturers and regulation & admission bodies (increasing time-to-market and lowering costs), while at the same time increasing the security of vehicles (subsequently increasing public safety) by preventing the disregard of testing important aspects. Furthermore it helps to assure that the testing is comparable for different vehicles.

Perspectives

Structuring testing is important in the light of the new ISO/SAE standard 21434 and the UNECE regulation 155. Furthermore, it sets the basis for automating security testing.
