What is it about?
Business organizations are changing their traditional ways of doing business as they become more responsible towards sustainability and social responsibility. For business firms, sustainable development can be a source of social reputation, innovation, and competitive advantage. Earlier it was observed that CSR is a way that contributes to sustainable development in the field of agriculture, economic empowerment, rural infrastructure, education, and health, which mainly make the agricultural sector a significant recipient of CSR interventions. However, to deal with the sustainability issues, an organization needs to study all those enablers that lead to sustainable value creation and help achieve a more compatible relationship with society and the environment.

Why is it important?
This study looks into corporate social responsibility (CSR) and other vital enablers identified through an extensive literature review of CSR and sustainability articles to develop a conceptual framework for sustainable agriculture and analyze the hierarchical relationship between all the enablers.
