What is it about?
The Feature Selective Validation, FSV, method has become both a common and formal standard for data comparison in the field of EMC (but also elsewhere). This paper describes the current method of operation, following considerable research and development over the last decade since the first major paper on this topic was published.

Why is it important?
The first Transactions paper introducing the FSV method was published in 2006. Since then, there have been a number of advancements made to the method. This paper is an important review of what the current state-of-the-art is with FSV.
Perspectives
It is immensely satisfying as a researcher to be able to produce such an 'update' paper on something that has been so widely adopted.
