What is it about?

SAR data is difficult to compare because its statistical properties do not follow the usual models. In particular, comparing samples is a challenging task. We propose using distances that stem from the Information Theory realm.

Why is it important?

We use Information Theory measures to provide a single value with statistical meaning as a way to say if two samples of SAR data come from the same distribution.

Perspectives

The technical part might be tough, but the results are interesting and can be used in many applications.
