What is it about?
Ringing effect, which is caused by missing some frequency contents, is a common artifact in many kinds of signals, such as images, seismic data etc. Vibroseis is one of the seismic data, which lost low and high frequency bands, thus produces ringing effect. This paper provides a CNN based method to remove the ringings away.

Why is it important?
First arrival picking, or first break (FB) picking, which means finding the time of the first wave occurs, is of vital importance in seismic data processing. However, ringing conceals the clean first wave. By removing the ringing it becomes easy and more accurate to pick the FB.
