What is it about?
This article pulls together some of the findings from our interviews with care workers and their managers. We wanted to see if they saw their work as unrewarded and unrewarding. We found that many did not like the pay and low status of their work but that they did see themselves as 'not in it for the money' and generally saw themselves were skilled and committed.
