What is it about?

Tourism has tended to study only those who are included rather than those who are excluded. In the area of disability, tourism began to include those who participate that have disabilities but did so in a way that focused on simply focusing on accessibility of the sectors of the industry (e.g. transport, accommodation and attractions). However, as the sophistication of the field grew it was reconceptualised as accessible tourism and focused on developing accessible destination experiences for people of all embodiments.
