What is it about?
The use of virtual communication tools such as text messages and video calls is expected to be detrimental to team performance improvement, especially when teams have to perform complex decisions. Across two studies, we show that virtual teams can see their performance improve over time, but only when the virtual environment in which they collectively reflect provides an interaction experience that is similar to face-to-face interations.
