What is it about?
In this paper, I consider if the Jungian psychotherapy has a place within group work and the workings of a therapeutic community. Traditionally Jungians have been against working in groups as this is thought to go against core aspects of Jungian theory. Here I consider if this is still the case. Using examples of previous Jungian work with groups I then try and apply it to a modern-day NHS TC.

Why is it important?
Jungian psychotherapy and group work do not traditionally go together. This makes the subject of this paper somewhat controversial. The discussion is an important one however as Jungian psychology could have much to offer group work in the TC environment.
