What is it about?
Women's football is under threat from covid-19. When comparing Australia's, England's, and the USA's national football associations' responses, we show for the first time that elite women's football is advanced most when the football association maintains active communication, has support from the government, and commercial partnerships in place to support future competitions. The interests of women’s football are best served when responsibility for the elite league does not rest (solely) with national football associations.
