What is it about?
This study explored the impact of mental health on the job performance among nurses in India. More specifically, it focused on how shiftwork affected the impact, and how social support altered it. Both job stress and emotional exhaustion were negatively related to job performance. However, a three-way interaction analysis revealed that social support differentially moderated the above relationships among shift workers and dayworkers. Implications of the findings including the role of culture were discussed.
