What is it about?
This qualitative project explored how emerging adult women experience parental divorce during emerging adulthood, and what the experience of parental divorce means for their current relationships and development. Major themes speak to the unique perspective of divorce the emerging adult developmental stage gives "kids" when they are becoming adults, especially in regard to the level of insight, awareness, and support. The experience of parental divorce during this stage also inspired emerging adults to rethink their perceptions of both themselves and romantic relationships, as well as their values and priorities.
