What is it about?
A bibliometric analysis of faculty turnover in a University. Results show that faculty research outcomes as measured by the hIa metric are a predictor of terminated employment status. Results suggest the hIa index is a more accurate measure of research performance the widely used h-index. Implications for the use of the hIa metric in evaluating faculty employment decisions are discussed.
