Individuals operate independently, but also as members of teams, professions and organisations. Therefore, having a sound understanding of individual response to change is important for change leaders.

Why is it important?

It may assist change leaders to better understand the theoretical frameworks of individual, team and organisation change processess and the impacts these have individually and collectively on change processes.

Perspectives

Most change management literature examines the organisation level of change management. In an environment that is characterised by continuous change and policy reform, greater understanding of the response and adaption to change by individuals is valuable.
