Understanding the complex healthcare networks of patients with multiple health issues

What is it about?

People with multiple health issues often have to navigate complex networks of unrelated services in health and social care. Such networks are usually unique for each person. Moreover, it takes significant effort from the user to manage and keep track of the networks. This may put vulnerable users at a disadvantage, as they might not have the resources to keep track of all actors in the network. In our paper we describe how to identify and understand such networks, and what implications they have for health and social care professionals and organizations.
