What is it about?
In the Netherlands, a new policy on sustainable public procurement has been introduced. We show that this policy has a significant positive short-term effect on the inclusion of green award criteria and requirements in public tenders. Implementing similar policies in other sectors and other countries could have a substantial effect on the worldwide uptake of sustainable procurement.
