What is it about?
This research makes substantial contributions to the SMEs' sustainable performance literature by investigating the interplay between networking capabilities and sustainable performance while elucidating the underlying mechanisms driving this relationship. Knowledge workers' productivity and digital innovation mediate the relationship between networking capabilities and SMEs' sustainable performance (economic and environmental), sequentially and separately. Surprisingly, these factors do not mediate the connection between networking capability and SMEs' social performance. SMEs should prioritize investments in the professional development of their knowledge workers through training and skill enhancement programs.
