What is it about?

Islamic Finance industry withstood the financial crisis in 2007, thereby indicating their potential to expand globally and becoming an admirable alternate financial market. The Islamic Capital market has witnessed tremendous growth over the years and one of their most interesting instrument offered is Islamic Real Estate Investment Trust which is a shariah-compliant alternative for the investors who want to invest in real estate but have limited financial capabilities. There have been researches conducted earlier discussing different Islamic REITs but a comparative study between the two Islamic REITs we considered i.e. Emirates REIT of UAE and Al-Salam REIT of Malaysia based on the five factors of portfolio, governance, performance, shariah compliance, and risk management is our distinguished contribution to literature for Islamic finance industry of UAE.
