What is it about?
There are formal and informal "rules" or social norms that guide healthcare staff's contribution to patient safety. These social norms influence whose contributions are valued and whose are not. When some healthcare staff communicate about patient safety it may be viewed as a form of trespass. In this paper we explore how these acts of trespass may contribute to patient safety rather than undermine it.
