What is it about?
This article presents a comprehensive review of the existing literature on GTM, highlighting the major themes, trends, and discussions in the field. Our study has identified three main themes that can inform future research and help to advance the field of GTM. These themes include experiences working abroad, talent management approaches, and the complex nature of GTM as a living system influenced by various economic, political, cultural, familial, professional, technological, and demographic factors. Furthermore, we offer a novel framework to help facilitate a better understanding of the complexity of GTM, which demonstrates various elements of this system intersect and converge with global careers and talent management.
