Advancing capacity to adapt to climate change: addressing information needs in the Australian property industry

What is it about?

Climate change poses significant challenges for the built environment, and will require a transformation of current and future practices to ensure resilience and sustainability of the built environment to climate change challenges. This paper investigates the Australian property industry’s information needs, and their capacity to translate that information into decision making regarding climate change mitigation and adaptation. The results suggest the development of better communication channels for climate change for the property sector and broader built environment disciplines is needed to increase broadscale sector engagement.
