Is libraries' use of social media ethical? A phenomenographic investigation of Twitter (X) use at the Bodleian Libraries

What is it about?

Social media has been criticised by many for its damaging effects on societies across the world. Given the role of libraries in empowering these societies, their use of social media is problematic. Our investigation to understand whether libraries are using social media ethically found that libraries’ use of social media is ethically motivated, but not always ethically informed.
