What is it about?
This study analyzed trust perceptions variations between farmers and traders in a developing country in a dyadic context using a mixed-method approach with a specific focus on the fresh and dry commodity chain under contracted and non-contracted markets. The main finding is that there are differences in the perception of trust between farmers and traders. There were no observable differences in trust perception between contract and non-contract markets. Farmers and traders perceive higher trust in the dry chain.
