Technological and informational frames: explaining age-related variation in the use of patient accessible electronic health records as technology and information

What is it about?

People's needs and preferences for health information and technologies for accessing it vary according to age. Our findings suggest that technology and information should be addressed separately when developing new e-health services. We propose also two new theoretical concepts to help to discuss about them separately in research and systems development projects.
