What is it about?

It portrays how research on quality and reliability management has evolved from 1984 up to 2014. Additionally, it shows how text mining methodology can be used as a tool for exploration and description of research publications.

Why is it important?

There do not seem to be any prior text mining studies that apply cluster modeling and probabilistic topic modeling to map and structure research on quality and reliability management. This study therefore offers a unique perspective on this area of research and its development thought the years.

Perspectives

Working on this article was stimulating but challenging as the goal was to generate new theoretical insights on quality and reliability management as well as to explore new methodological approaches within text mining. Gladly, the result was satisfying and follow-up studies are on their way.
