What is it about?

Uncertainty is not the same as risk, because risk can be calculated and hereby managed. Uncertainty represents 'the unknown unknown', which means you do not know what you do not know. How can it be managed then? This article explains that in the Operation and Maintenance activities in offshore wind park projects the front-load of knowledge is important. It means that resources needs to be developed earlier than usual anticipated in project management. Additionally the base organization needs the capacity to both explore and exploit the important uncertain issues.
