Environmental capabilities, and pressures and their role in adopting eco-innovation strategy

What is it about?

With the escalation of the issue of climate change, the business world has recently been under extensive environmental pressures either from regulatory bodies or customers to adopt proactive environmental practices such as eco-innovation. we show why and how these pressures have different effects on the adoption of eco-innovation practices among Manufacturing SMEs.

Why is it important?

Our findings illustrate the mediating effect of environmental capabilities in the relationship between institutional pressures and eco-innovation. The study indicates why institutional theory fails to explain such relationship.
