What is it about?
Our work explores the impact of political injustice on mental health in Gaza, using theories from Freire and Fanon. As psychologists, we believe that psychology can't be neutral; it either supports oppression or encourages resistance. We work in solidarity with the people of Gaza, emphasizing collective well-being and advocacy. Our study shows that mental health professionals can promote empowerment and activism, even in difficult circumstances. In Gaza, mental health needs are critical alongside physical safety and aid, and supporting psychological services is vital for rebuilding after crises.
