What is it about?
We interviewed a group of successfully established women entrepreneurs in a collective society (the UAE) to investigate the process of empowerment. We found that women in this context leverage 'positive' power to capture empowerment gains for themselves and for society, as opposed to coercive or oppressive power, characterised as 'male' power. This raises questions about how entrepreneurship is thought about and written about.
